The trance tripper

The trance tripper

A Poem by Devisree Anoop
"

A girl's dream to explore the world, seasons and opportunities

"

The silky tuft of milkweed took her along a lonely journey,

A trip she had been longing since childhood.

Across the seas and oceans, farther beyond continents

Underneath the splendid sun on a hammock

Swaying gently on a remote beautiful beach,

Beside the sparkling sea and virgin white sandy beach,

A few flying kites, surfers and cyclers;

She wondered if it’s an enigma or a lucid dream.

The trance tripper shifted her journey

From the sunny summer to a rainy hill,

The wettest place, where rain stops rarely

She drenched in the perfect magic of rain

Under the white blanket of mists, vibrant greenery

Rich roaring waterfalls and fascinating caves;

From beneath the abode of clouds

Her thoughts now shifted to a snow-laden countryside.

She explored the long unwinding paths so quiet,

The crispy cold, crystal clear air and brilliant blue skies,

Falling far to the horizon bordered with towering mountains

Her mind then wandered to the mesmerizing chants

Of another spring season in its fullness.

Enchanting flower filled alleyways of daffodils

Long stretches of mesmerizing tulip fields

Sunnier days and scenting nature

Perfect for her rejuvenating soul

They say spring is the beginning of new things

She opened her eyes to begin the real journey

A bon voyage to chase her dreams.
