How You Do

How You Do

A Poem by Deyeil
"

Quickly composed, more of a release of emotion than a carefully thought out illustration of emotion.

"
I'm about to tear you apart,
But I'll say from the start,
What I have to say will hurt, that's nothing new,
But just don't get how you do.

I'm about to show you all the hatred inside,
Make you wish that you had died,
Today is the day I'll make you rue,
But just don't get how you do.

I'm about to show you I never meant it,
The I love you, and all of that tender s**t,
It meant nothing to me, and now I beg of you,
Please just don't get how you do.

I'm begging, just don't get how you do,
I can't bear to see it... as I leave you...

The anger in this piece is powerful, yet elegant, and is very carefully seasoned with some traces of sadness. (At least, that's what I seem to take from it.) I am sure the person who inspired you to write this has hurt you greatly, and it does not take a great mind to see that. Nonetheless, this is a beautiful piece. Great work!

I've always had a deep interest in reading poetry, but didn't try my hand at writing until events in my life nearly demanded I have some kind of outlet. I chose to express my feelings through poetry. .. more..
