Oh how I wish

Oh how I wish

A Poem by D. Nelson
"

im just going crazy here!

"

My hands shake slightly,
my neck tingles,
my hands tighten and my pupils adjust to the light,
I stare blankly across the room at that same damn clock,
watching it tick slowly,
1, 2, 3...
It continues,
my teeth raking against my tongue.
Its been days...
I can’t go much longer.
I daydream of the marlboro man himself riding up
on a gallant horse and dropping one or two packs
effortlessly in the sands of the desert,

“Here you go my boy.”

He would say and gallop off into the distance...
Then I remembered he contracted cancer.
Oh but a dream.
Hopefully a few store owners
don’t hold the age limit too dearly.
Right?

Good. Withdraw sucks from anything sucks. You've put craving a cigarette in a different view.
