A Worthless World

A Worthless World

A Poem by Dipansh Girdhar

Loved You Like You're The Last Drop Of Water,
Held You Like I'm Hanging Off The Cliff,
Felt Like It'll Last But Was Only A Whiff.
And Look What You Landed Me Into.

Wrote You Like You're The Bestest Thing,
Felt You Like You're The Season Of Spring,
Painted You With The Colours Of My Heart,
Gave Myself Up, Every Piece, Every Part.

Drew Up An Image In Which You Love Me Too,
Believed With All My Heart, That It's True,
But You Hate Me In Real, Deep Down I Knew,
But What A Worthless World That Would Be Where I Don't Love You.

Very unique and meaningful poem. I liked how simple it was to read for someone whose English isn't their first language. It had a good flow too!
