Rejecting You

Rejecting You

A Poem by Annabelle Lee

You texted me a lot this summer
We flirted and played all through May
But then I started dating him
And just up and rejected you one day

We stoped talking and there were days
When you just didn't cross my mind
I had lots of guys all over me
And you aren't one to stand in lines

At the barbeque
I caught you staring
You must have liked
What i had been wearing

And tonight you joked
And we messed around
And a few times you just gazed
Not making a sound

He never looks at me
Not like you do
Maybe it was a mistake
Rejecting you

Life is so full of those 'maybes', but the grass isn't always greener.

Nice flow, rhyme... good write.
