Your Name

Your Name

A Poem by Dominique Lambright
"

Showing that someday in the future I want us to be married

"

Your Name

Do believe you are truly missed; I’m constantly thinking of you

Thinking back to the times we dissed

All the times you made me pissed

But by the end of the night we had kissed

And all that mattered was that the anger disappear

To find feelings did appear

They never did ceased to reappear

Common times we had to fear

What our two different hearts could hear

How to explain to you the thoughts that make me Krayzie

The thoughts that make my mind a little hazy

Just to reminisce on the progress we have made

Thinking back to the memories that will never fade

They say never say never but it is the truth because none of it was ever a façade

You’ve reached inside to a me that was lost

And some how you were able to defrost

You taught me how to love again and it didn’t even cost

With you at a distance I feel a part of me elsewhere

I’m not complete, trying to look everywhere

Knowing the piece is with you somewhere

And for you I would go anywhere

What I am trying to say is someday I would like your name

Whether you’re lame

Or you have fame

You mean the world to me

Admittingly, you hold the key

Hoping that this is apparent because I’ve shown it multiples times

There’s no way you could say I haven’t in past times

This trip away from home has been a blast

And now I’m ready to return home where I belong

Safe in your arms
