A Poem by Donna DeLong Matthews aka Gold Pen Ghost

If I Could Be

Where You Are

I look in this mirror
The broken image reflection
Is that of my soul
and it's sense of rejection

It is said the top is neigh
Until one knows the bottom
When the heart ceases to beat
Feeling love to be a phantom

My place is not where I am
The heart no longer flies
The clouds gather thick
Hiding once blue skies

Would my sky turn to blue
Would I again shine like a star
Would life be any better
If I could be where you are

Great, saddness, longing, hope, love so many emotions. I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoy your work. I love "enya" and it goes so well with this write. Thank you for sharing your talent. ;)
