Round and Round ღ KKD ღ

A Poem by Donna DeLong Matthews aka Gold Pen Ghost

Round and Round

I pull back the curtain
Behind which I hide
And find my life is composed
Of a circle of rides

There is the person
I'm glad that I am
For no one will I change
I am who I am

There is the Mother
That seems to have fallen short
There is the Nana
Who is loved without a doubt

There is the sister
They don't understand
There is the daughter
That wishes for a like man

A friend I try to be
With a hand to lend
There is my Savior
On whom I do depend

There is the woman
They just can't seem to love
With a heart that yearns
To soar like a dove

There are more frowns than smiles
There are ups and downs
The path of my life
Just seems to go Round and Round
