For Rapunzel, a Beauty Locked in High Tower

For Rapunzel, a Beauty Locked in High Tower

A Poem by Stu. T.H.
"

A game: I hid "red flags" (in relationships) in the work ~ Can you find them?

"
Rapunzel, let down your hair,
So I -- Prince, may intrude into your thorny lair,
To be entrapped your whole youth and life,
Surely you desire a husband, and myself -- a wife,
Surely, you would understand, the need for love,
As you, being a painter, have dreamed of candle coves,
The fiery lights that paint the sky,
When wishes fly to touch the stars so high,
We'll ride a boat to the mirror sea,
Under the lit sky, we'll tightly cuddle, just you and me.

Author's Note

Stu. T.H.
I was gonna take inspirations from the original literary accurate Rapunzel but... I thought the Disney version would be better, still I used a combination of both. Whoopsies ~ No sorry though ~ I doubt most would prefer a full on Grim version for a bedtime story!..

* Special call-out to author Dave Brown: I'll try to make an actual satirical parody of a classic tale on another day, I think I'm a bit too un-sassy today...
