ForgivenessA Poem by Harmony-LeeMy first attempt at writing an acrostic poem.
For all the hurt and pain you have caused.
Over my body, patches of blue fade to yellow. Remain in my memory forever they will, never to be forgotten. Generated from anger, frustration or fear and fueled with substance. Yet still I remain your loving, devoted wife. My wedding Vows I promised and will take to the grave. Everyday fragile and in fear of a repeat. Never should've my children and I endured. Every night I lay my head beside yours. Sad, alone and with trepidation. It's only as you Sleep, that I feel safe.
