Night Thoughts

Night Thoughts

A Poem by Jordan Cattell

He stands under the moonlight,

Looking up with broad delight.

The dark sky reminds him of her,

He wonders when they will next occur.

He thinks no one else will feel this way,

Perhaps things will  be clearer in the day.

He lays down on the dry ground,

The owls hoot is quite loud.

He loves her,

He hopes she loves him.

He tries so hard to make her happy,

How he feels is rather crappy.

He gets up off the ground.

The air is very dry,

Almost so it makes him cry,

All he can do is try.
