Thefuran

Thefuran

A Poem by Dr. Virginia Patterson
"

I went to Australia in 2012 and met a man on a walk about" He said his name was Thefuran. I didn't write this until about a year after meeting him. I just couldn't put him to words right away.

"

Within us all
The poet breathes
The child that cries
The blood that seethes
To write the thoughts
The soul believes could stop the hearts of kings and thieves.
Would not the pen
In hand but seize
The words of truth
With which life weaves.
A web of dreams
The mind retrieves
Too late...
And for the poet grieves...
And... I have met none
Other better
Than he.
