I Hate Myself For Leaving You

I Hate Myself For Leaving You

A Poem by Drakana Wind

You told me you like me;

You wanted this to work.

What did I do?

You said that my happiness

Made you happy, too,

But still I doubted you.

Then six words you gave me

Made me run to save my heart.

Should I have stayed to see this through?

You look like you’re dealing well,

But as for me, I die inside each day.

I hate myself for leaving you.

I like it, but I think you should expand. I'm sure you've got lots more to say.
