Nightmare

Wake me up

From this nightmare,

This horrible illusion

Of my making.

Take me away

From this place of sadness,

Of torture,

Of self-inflicted pain.

Everything is wrong,

Backwards

From the way it should be,

Used to be.

Rescue me

From this madness.

Let me see again,

Awake in your arms.
