Rage, Sweat, Metal

Rage, Sweat, Metal

A Poem by Graveyardfuck

Thrashing my head back and forth,
Releasing all the pain inside,
I'll scream the lyrics,
JUST TO GET YOU OUT OF MY HEAD!
I'll shove strangers around in the Pit,
Kick my legs and thrust my fists.
I want to see blood,
Anything to get rid of the memories of you.
At least for a little while...
Sweat and wild hair, sheathing my emotions,
Guzzling down the water
To wash you away.
I don't need this.
This sadness.
All I need is the rage
The sweat
The metal.
In my head, my thoughts, my life.
The bass will fill my heart,
The drums guiding the beat.
And while I know your home in the dark with your w***e
I'll be here
Releasing all the pent up emotions.
Forgetting you
For a little while,
At least.

I can definately relate to this! Warring between hating emotions, but then loving the feeling that the rage fuels us with. Conflicting and confusing emotions. Rage and hope. Love and hate. We say, "Which emotion should we feel?" While life says, "Ha, which? Here, allow me to be a b***h and cause you to feel everything at once."

Sounds more like a core-pit to me. But still cool. A lot of people let s**t out like this in a pit. I've never been one to, but my good friends go to shows casually and do that. One of my best friends even met the love of his life in a pit. She punched him straight in the nose and he bled for hours. Love is so mysterious.

Thanks fagg~
I haven't quite decided if you like these emotions or not. It seems like you want to forget them (in a way) but at the same time you're enjoying the rage - like it brings a certain purpose, fills an empty space on the shelf where "stuff" use to be. So, he did a jones on you, a monkey hopping jones and now you're going cold turkey with the shakes; smashing crap and so on. Does the rage lessen the sadness? An old movie (a lot of'em probably) say, "..don't get mad - get even." and then there's the rest that preach some sort of forgiveness - him, you, the world - be one with the universe. So, what's to be done about this accident of life? Anything? Probably not... "Ok folks, move along, move along. Nothing to see here."
