Immortality

Their names live forever because their music  

Speaks to everyone.

                                                The first few lines of “Fur Elise”

                                                Make people smile in recognition.

                                                                                    I wish that I too

                                                                                    Could be recognized                                                                                                             Forever.

            Though not just a few notes

            For I would hate being

            Defined within an object.

                                                            But for my actions

                                                            (Both good and bad,

                                                            Since I am neither

                                                            An angel nor a demon,                                                                                                 But a mix of both.)

This is really powerful, I like the idea of being remembered not by a single word or phrase but for your actions throughout your life. I also like the reference to music, which is truly one of the most impacting aspects of life.
