Introspection

Introspection

A Poem by Dressed in Poetry

She was the girl who
Could interject Shakespeare
Into any conversation -
The girl who would recite
Dostoevsky and Nietzsche
For their existential wisdom -
And she was the girl
Who managed to
Psychoanalyze everyone
Who crossed her path.

She was the girl who
Scribbled introspection into journals,
Alongside notes of cynicism -
The girl who could not stand
To lose any control -
And she was the girl who
Took trips to the coffee shop
Only partly for the latte,
But mostly for the
Intelligent stranger at table three,
Who would debate with her.

She was the girl who
Loved center-stage -
The girl who could only
Cry when no one could see -
And she was the girl
Who fell in love
With many things,
But refused to admit
She saw wonder in life.

She was the girl who
Defined herself in poetry -
The girl who clung to
Her books and her friends -
But mostly, she was the girl
Who had no idea who
She was and when her life
Was supposed to begin.

She was the girl who
Grew up to be me.

oh thats so wonderful and dreamy introduction, she was the girl who knew them all ,who went deep inside their minds try to see more and more for surely there is in those guys whats is more and more ,she would analyse every one and everything and sit in a cafe just to debate,i loved your words...she was the girl who fell in love with many things but refused to admit she saw wonder in life, surely you defined yourself in poetry, and i could see you had no idea who you are and when life will begin,i was sure from the beginning you were talking about yourself though i dont know why i had that feeling,oh dear you have great thoughts and stayed aside i never knew you were here all the time so close so near,oh the fool i am,i was looking for you all the time though did not know you except for a few words they told me about ,she is this and that ,but above all she is so dreamy you will know here once you hear her words, but i was a fool ,though you were so close i am sorry ,i did not know i had a dreamer just beside and i did not turn around and say hallo,hallo...
