A Poem by Dressed in Poetry
"

Rhyming, rhythmic pantoum.

"

The clouds swirl upon the ground

Like the spinning of all sounds

That spiral as they astound

(Or rather, as they confound).

Like the spinning of all sounds,

The revolving world does surround

(Or rather, it does confound)

As all hearts together pound.

The revolving world does surround,

It spirals as it astounds,

As all hearts together pound,

And clouds swirl upon the ground.

Harder than you think, since it's following three rules:
1. Pantoum rules: repeating lines in a certain pattern.
2. Rhyming rules.
3. Rhythm rules: Seven beats per line.

I love this! I enjoy the rhyming and the repetition seems to flow naturally. My favorite line is "As all hearts together pound". Wonderful job.
