Thinker

A Poem by Drifting Blue
"

All I could manage today. But I managed something.

"

I’m not what you think
I’m not what I think
I think I am therefore
I am thinking thought
Each thought siphoning off
The ageless wine bag of life
And it is good, very good
And it is bad, very bad
And it is in between, very in between
To see is to be is to live
Is to think I am
I am I think

Not knowing who we are is very common. It takes time, sometimes years, to come to the knowledge of that. Until we do, we will deal with a certain amount of confusion in life. Once we discover ourselves, it is beautiful though. All at once, a contentment comes that we never thought possible.

I think your message is loud and clear here. Sometimes the fewer the words, the greater the impact. The repetition in this lends to the piece. :-)

A great write - although its short there is a lot going on.
I liked your use of repetition of sounds, stuctures and lines - really effective - it complimented the questioning tone of the poem.
Congrats on this poem.
