Grandmother's Song

Grandmother's Song

A Poem by David Scott
"

I received this healing gift from an individual aspiring to "carry the pipe".

"
Grandmother's Song

Morning comes softly,
beating drums resonate,
tonally balance new light of day.

Triad grouped music,
resolute steadiness,
readiness stomping a sure pathway.

Diminished notes fade
discorded settling,
tom-tom's gift fading in gently play.

A doorway opens,
accepting tomorrow,
One last rise, one last fall, leads the way.

A beautiful healer sang this Cherokee song for me. I do not know what the words meant, but this is what I felt. Thank you for reading. I will listen to our Native Tribal Music with a new respect. This music is spiritual complexity delivered in the most simplistic medium.

It's beautiful, to me it speaks of new doors that open to higher planes of existence. I am intrigued how the words and emotions you created transcended from the music, it's rhythm and the beating of the drums. It feels one with the universe something we all share no matter where we come from. Thank you for sharing this.

Beautiful, spiritual, through the smoke of the pipe that will liberate new roads, new trails, higher eagle eyes, you see and feel through this beautiful piece.
