Unrequited

Unrequited

A Poem by Drow
"

For those of you stuck on the wrong side of something one-sided

"

Do you love him;
Whispered promises,
False actions.

Do you love him;
Stolen kisses,
Secret caresses.

Do you love him;
Cheated feelings,
Heartache.

Do you love him;
Tears in the darkness,
Forced smiles.

Do you love him;
Congratulations,
Friendly jibes.

Do you love him;
Loss of self,
Hardship.

Do you love him;
Self told fibs,
Shattered illusions.

Do you love him;
Trapped inside,
Broken visions.

Do you love him;
No, I never can,
And never will.

A bit too late for that. You're not the only one there...

Anyway, it's really an unusual writing I've ever read in a while. It's like a song line being repeated until you finally get the answer. So, it's all still good tho...

Its a rather common problem these days, but you have given a very different expression to it. Usual yet unusual. Great write!

About
I've always enjoyed writing, it's something I do mostly in my head but eventually they either get written or forgotten. Somethings do have a habit of popping up again more often than not. It's my goal.. more..
