Written during freshman year.

 

I feel you;

I feel you more than life.

And to touch you

(the way she does)

Would be serenity’s dream.

Revel in your starlight,

I want you for just one night.

(for forever)

And I had a dream

A dream of rose-felt cheeks

And serenading tongues

(bliss waking to bitterness)

And my waking hours more of a dream

Waiting to return to sleep,

As to wake from the nightmare

(your beautiful temptress)

Temptress rising from my eyes;

May I slip past conciseness

Just so we can be

(everything in me)

 

And for that I’d do anything.
