Doomsday FallingA Poem by Breezie KaeWritten during sophomore year.
It marks down so suddenly, and your voice is all I hear. Peace falls right in front of me, when it all comes down to fear. So peace, dissolve, into a system. I have no more promises to keep. So please, come down, and declare me, victim, and lose it all like minty shallow stares. I’m sick to the stomach, please numb me, with anything conveniently more. I’m sick to the stomach, please numb me, with anything conveniently more. My mind is swelling, the room is falling, I know that this will be. You know I don’t want another taste, but I know that this will be. You speak so suddenly, and my guard’s dropped down again. Your words soak so tenderly, for what I’d give to the end. So come, blur, straight into the system, and when the end comes you’re the one I breathe for. And when I test these waters, will you be there to make amends? All I owe you is a promise, and to be your friend. So pull me from the surface, you don’t know what your grip does My mind is swelling, the room is falling, I know that this will be. You know I don’t want another taste, but I know that this will be. I’m sick to the stomach, please numb me, with anything conveniently more. I’m sick to the stomach, please numb me, with anything conveniently more. I’m sick to the stomach, please numb me, with anything conveniently more. I’m sick to the stomach, please numb me, with anything convenient… © 2010 Breezie KaeReviews
