You are the key

To my heart

My soul

To eternity

To life.

I am dead

That’s what I thought

I don’t know why

I’m holding on

Till the very last second.

I cannot

I must not

Give up.

I need you

And now is the time

I still have time

But the clock is ticking

And the days pass by

Months

Soon years

Maybe eternity

Sitting lifeless

Till the very last second

When I find you

The key to the world

Then I will slowly

Heal

And be born again.

Yes... this is a perfect entry for the "Bad Poems Need Love Too" contest! Makes me want to wallow into the black despair armed with a banana peel!

I love it. It expresses pain and sorrow, but then it shows that you're fighting it and you're not letting it consume you...

On another note not related to this: I have a story idea, but I'm not going to do it for NaNo. XD

Never give up indeed. Congrats on the placement in fighting depression contest. It is definitely a cycle and you express the ultimate out come in the last line of this piece. Well done.
