Silver Lining (Myself)

Silver Lining (Myself)

A Poem by Breezie Kae
"

Written in 8th grade.

"

To look into your eyes

and ask what’s the matter.

Just because nothing matters

doesn’t mean I don’t care.

To talk to myself

when the world hears nothing.

Just because they are clueless

doesn’t mean they aren’t there.

A tear on a cheek is

nothing compared to the regrets.

Just because they don’t know

doesn’t mean they’re unaware.

Regret is just like

a blade smooth across skin.

Just because no one sees it

doesn’t mean it’s not there.

There’s a fine line

between like and love,

and I really like you,

and I’d love

if you would take me away

from myself.

One of your older ones, you've definitely grown as both a poet and a person, and you will keep growing. I do love the part "...There is a fine line between lke and love..." how true that is. Wonderful Poem Brianna Kae Bookman, and good luck in your future writing.
