 To look into your eyes

And ask what’s the matter

Just because nothing matters

Doesn’t mean I don’t care.

To talk to myself

When the world hears nothing

Just because they are clueless

Doesn’t mean they aren’t there.

A tear on a cheek is

Nothing compared to the regrets

Just because they don’t know

Doesn’t mean they’re unaware.

Regret is just like

A blade smooth across skin

Just because no one sees it

Doesn’t mean it’s not there.

There’s a fine line

Between like and love,

And I really like you

And I’d love

If you would take me away

From myself.

Reviews

One of your older ones, you've definitely grown as both a poet and a person, and you will keep growing. I do love the part "...There is a fine line between lke and love..." how true that is. Wonderful Poem Brianna Kae Bookman, and good luck in your future writing.
