flash. BANG

I am finding a lot of inspiration from nature at the moment. This piece tries to capture the experience I had while sitting in a dark room, with a huge storm raging outside.

flash. BANG!!
From nowehere it comes.
Taken unawares
Instinct is to run
Wait, no
Calm now, racing heart
All is safe
flash... BANG!!
There comes the chase.
Slower this round,
Yet still as fierce.
All is dark, after searing bright,
Pitter patter amibiance
brings back slumber,
flash... ... ... Bang!
Continue on, furious mother,
Scrub clean your child,
Continue on.
flash ... ... ... ... bang.
