The Night Alone

The Night Alone

A Poem by Dinkleman
"

A poem about man who had his heart torn out after seeing his fiance' with another man.

"

The candle light flickers.

Another night alone.

Each thought gets sicker and sicker.

The urge to pick up the phone.

Loving you was the best idea of my short life.

Tearing my heart out was your last request.

The thought of you now provokes me to pick up a knife.

You ended up being like the rest.

Seeing you with him so ectastic

Seeing you with him shattered my heart.

You in his arms made me feel axiomatic.

The feeling that overcame me was no less than dark.

Sitting here alone I will continue to smoke.

Looking up to the moon for advice.

It develops my shroud that will cloak.

This will be the last day I will gamble by throwing the dice.
