Love and death

Love and death

A Poem by E.Cooke
"

A poem about love and death.

"

Impossible tears keep running

Burning mistake

Thriller ride, fun. Nothing more….?

Life shattered to a million pieces

My mistake, clearly.

Hurt and pain mean nothing

Like a b***h I tore you up

Burning heart with mixed emotions

Love and hate and shocked anger

I had no idea how much we cared

How hard it was to be apart

Angry with me for all the right reasons

Angry with you for the things I did wrong

My mistakes, my time, payback.

Lay here and watch me die.

Blood running, no protesting.

Short route to the peace.

Normality turns into a bizarre world.

Strange, messed up things turn to everyday life.

Despairing but simple as I watch the build up slip from my sweaty grip.

Exhausted from the climb.

Was clinging on, terrified of death.

Now just letting myself go…
