Two Worlds

Two Worlds

A Poem by E.Cooke
"

An animal cruelty poem - I don't know whether you'll get it but... well... I'll explain if you don't understand and want to know :)

"

Two worlds. Torn apart by the simplest things.

Time colliding. Hours rushing.

Train clattering in, a squeak of realisation.

There is nothing of this world.

Humans torn apart by power.

Overwhelming responsibility.

Eaten up by luxury.

Greed and cowardice.

Tis the human nature.

Cracks broken, walls down.

The true thing revealed.

No defeat " empathy.

And sympathy for their ill treaters.

Beneath the bravado they could see.

A poor and frightened creature.

One last cry of help they give.

Two worlds. Placed together by the sufferers.
