If One Could Taste Words

If One Could Taste Words

A Poem by Elephants & Coyotes

Study every single curl,
Fiddle every lock.
Frizz & gists
Of eager thoughts,
Too quick to wait for talk.

Don’t get excited, with that tongue of yours -
Tasting so much wisdom.

Knowledge learned, far too soon,
Can be quite much, dear, madam.
