sweet blue

sweet blue

A Poem by Ed Fagan

The sweetest blue

grants accessible skies ,

to warm worn bones ...

a Sun of flower's life.

A child's touch,

know when to let down your guard

Hasn't the truth always shown many faces?

Embrace

a relaxing moment,

blistered from the travels

a withered soul called home.

Let the beaches shifting sand

pay cover to your sins,

if only to grant a momentary pause

in the swirling chaos.

These days you know are numbered...

rest well within their warmth,

The moment you drift complacent

the ocean shall retrieve her shores.
