For Now...

For Now...

A Poem by Eden Dawson
"

A poem about a survivor

"
They come like a demon in the shadows
They want to devour me at every turn
Drown me in every puddle
Smash me into every crack

These parasites sent to kill me
Though I only show them love
They bite, stomp, kick,
No explanation, no apology

And when the lord tells them to stop
They drift like birds
No pity, no reparation

My brain bleeds with anxiety
The next attack may be later or never

The maker is forever incognito
I am powerless to confront or fight him

In fear of him & his peers
I stay in the corner holding on to sanity

For now
Until we learn to win battles and the war
