Eggs and Condoms

Eggs and Condoms

A Poem by ElephantGuy
"

Inflation hits the cost of love

"

I awake before you

and slip out

of our bed

The market bustles

with mothers and seniors

already active

The eggs have risen

in price. So dear

Two-forty a dozen

Yet, I must

I pick up a twelve pack

of condoms

the girl takes my packages

and my money

So dear.
