Friendship in the Willows

Strolling over the tranquil bay

where thousands of comets lay,

I met you through the willow trees 

surrounded by the honey bees.

I closed my eyes and visualized

a spaceship that came disguised,

the breeze

 blew through my hair

 as I ran through  the sunshine prairies,

I met you so well

and soon bid you farewell.

Though the eyes hold all the memories

I wish I never forget you,

walking barefoot in the ol' sea meadow

where hazels and willows,

remember that we met someday

and left away.

spaceship kind of detracts a bit from the overall feel of the poem. otherwise it was tranquil, serene and just what I needed to read before I nodded off to sleep. :) thank you for the beautiful imagery!
