my student life

Head's poundin'
Eye's shuttin'
Trying to push through
So exhaustin'
On paper these words are far from the truth.

Never knowing when to stop
Keep on going til my eyes are shot
Brain has no function
Numb, no emotions
Fear of failure and rejection

They need to know, they need to see
What the hell is goin on with me
They need to look and see
Hunger, skint, so much work and no sleep
Just breathe

But hey see this smile, it's a ward
The happiness is a safe place
A place I work towards
Knowing that familiar faces have seen the light
Knowing that I won't be alone when I stand up to fight.
