Was It All A Lie?

He promised to keep her safe and happy

But now he's left her and hasn't told her

How is she going to react when I tell her?

Has she moved on? Is she over him?

Does she already know?

All I know is that I have to help her cope without him

He arrives back at school soon...what if she still thinks they're together?

And if he just pushes her away?

Her heart will be crushed....

I like how almost the whole thing is a bunch of questions. It makes the reader connect with the poem, because that's what mostly goes through people's minds-questions.
