My Waiting

My Waiting

A Poem by I Am Svetlana
"

About my best friend Kyle and we never went out, just making that clear right now. I wish to be with him, but a relationship with him only exists in my dreams.

"
I have erased myself
From that picture of us.
You never loved me
Only burned me.
My scars remind me of you
And your mistake.
For I have always been by your side
Even when you decided to leave.
I will always be here
Waiting for your return.

This is great, and I have entirely shared that feeling before. I spent over 10 years of my life in love with my best friend, it's both the most amazing and painful feeling all at the same time. You've done a fantastic job of capturing that here.

Its so hard loving someone who does not see us........and here you are open that you will always be waiting, very emotional and very sad.

oh - this is a tough one - a tough place to be in - and it speaks clearly in this poem - the first two lines are sheer brilliance - sometimes, too many fears we breed in our lives - and then live negotiating our fears! nice, compact and powerful piece here!
