Shards in Your Pocket

Shards in Your Pocket

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Here is my heart

Take it full and large.

Don't bother breaking it

Because it's already shattered.

I'm giving you the shards

That are what's left.

I don't mind you leaving

Cause I know my heart shards

Rest in your pocket.

Another good one. I like what you did with the broken heart shards.

oh.my.god. this was brilliant! I am adding it to my favourites because...well, i think because not only did i enjoy it entirely, but also because it perfectly described the after-math of hurt, which even i as a writer tend to avoid writing about, since i really don't have that much expirience in it. I hope you haven't had your heart broken like this, but if you did, it made for a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL poem. I absolutely loved this. short and sweet!! Thanks for sharing
