Young Again Raindrops

Young Again Raindrops

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I stand in the rain.

Raindrops

Fall all around me.

All over me.

Hot night

But the rain cools it down.

The drops hit my face.

I smile

Because everything seems

So right.

The rain is allowed

And welcome.

I can’t make it stop

Or disappear.

I wish to disappear

But the rain makes me stay.

With the raindrops

I don’t feel so alone.

I feel accepted as a friend.

Not seen as an enemy.

The rain washes away

All the sadness

And bad thoughts.

The rain is my blanket

On this cool, cool night.

Now I am dancing.

Splashing in the puddles.

Making myself feel

Young again.

Alas...the joys and comforts of nature :)....I love the reference to raindrops....water always seem to back up the thought of something refreshing, and to be showered in it is an amazing feeling...

I enjoyed the imagery and emotion is this poem. I felt like I was standing in the rain, indeed. My favorite bit was:
The rain is my blanket
On this cool, cool night.

Kudos!
