An Abled Qualm

An Abled Qualm

A Poem by Leah

In the wallow of a Night's descant

What flew by was decadence

What renounced was biblical

What resided was candored Soot

In the breezy pilfering of Noon's Day

What stashed away was a Dear, a Doe and a Buck

What stowed away was justly Roe

What lingered on was Fetal malodor

At the breaking of a Morning's Yoke

Whatever retrenched was just old Stew

Whatever ringed an awakening was just Due

Whatever mattered was liquified Atrocity's Dew

What brought on such jested deliberation?

Question on……

Whatever was Soulful and Preordained.

What was the Artist's obligation again?

Ah! Yes,

The Quest:

To love…

Without being loved."
