A Poem by Emily B
"

A collaboration withy my special friend, An Ornery Gentleman. It is always a pleasure to mix words.

"

amazing when miracles

suddenly manifest

beach-birds rising and circling

high above the Audobon

mystery steeps in unfurled wings

we slow down

for a smile and a sigh

passing gracefully over

barely noticeable steps..

close and hollow..

ghost crabs ephemerally longing

for a moonbeam's generous hands

a universe dispatches

a casual touch

conflict, contrast..

each mating w/in its own species

the spirit is migratory..

eternal as we coexist naturally

lines are blurring

and separation becomes less apparent.

We are woven into the fabric

of the Universe.

we slow down

for a smile and a sigh

and you take my hand

And, yet, somehow

in transcendent moments

we are the miracles.

Yes, Emily, this was an absolute pleasure to write and read...when I got to "lines blurring", the magic of it just sort of washed over me in waves...
It's like I said when I first sent it to you..your essence was already flowing through the words.
From our earlier collaberations, etc..
it was nice dancing w/ you. A joy unparalleled by winning the lottery or anything material...
I'm gonna post my part as a separate piece w/ a link to yours, like the first, except the opposite.

sometimes its not the articulate "why" lines impress me so...it's just that they do. A beautiful poem, deep, heady....

Very good. There are some points where you use proper grammar, and others where you do not. It's usually decided to either use grammar or not, but it's always difficult to mix both. I think you've done well here, but I would probably just consider going with the free form of he poem as it is.

The imagery is great, though. I think you've got a real talent. It's not often you meet a poet that can actually craft their words into an effective piece.

i love the ending. very smooth and magical. the self-revealing universe. the repeat of "slow down for a sigh and a smile" was actually very comforting.

Quite lovely. Sorry I missed it on "the first round" of reads. Sometimes collaborations work and sometimes they don't. Then there are those that seem to transcend - this is one of those!

This was a beautiful poem: brilliant flow and imagery. 'mystery steeps in unfurled wings' and ghost crabs ephemerally longing/for a moonbeam's generous hands', these were my favourite lines but I loved them all.
You really capture the splendour natural world and what a celebration of humanity!

A nice collaboration with a cosmic, universal feel. It flowed well. It speaks to the transcendence of sharing that is universal in each of us. Well done.
