seduced

seduced

A Poem by Emily B
"

inspired by Jibey

"

your words

ran away with me

this morning

maybe it was the fog

creeping in through open windows

til I surrendered

maybe my imagination

was seized strongest

by the first words I met on waking

maybe I dreamed you

only to wake and hear you whisper

stay close

love it...simple language and strongly emotive .. and is written to be taken on more than one level .. those first thoughts and impressions on waking ..or just before...can have such a strong impact on at least the first few hours of the day ..if not more .. the space between dreams and the "real" world can be stretched sometimes ..and oh how the imaginations can get ones full attention ... i love the title and i love the poem ..and how they work together to create a sensual thread .. so glad we have met.

I liked this. The line "maybe it was the fog creeping in through open windows" gave me such an image and it made the poem for me. And then "stay close".

Ahhh very nice. Keep writing!

This is very gentle and strangely very comfortable. I picture snuggling in deeper at the end because of the chill in the air and being perfectly happy. Words are extremely powerful things, especially when we read them and inject them into our thoughts, needs, desires. Nice work. I really liked this.

Ah... How wonderful it would be for my dream to come to life as the dreams in this poem do...

To say I like this would be an understatement...which probably means I should say what I really think... Poetry that causes me to reflect on myself and continue to wish is poetry very much worth a space in my library. Of course...you have to know already that you're great...
