The Poison

The Poison

A Poem by Emily Wright

As the vial tips,

the edge meets my pouting lips,

as the lipuid spills smothly past,

into my open mouth.

I feel the cool liquid run down my dry thoat,

though slowly in may move,

it's power works with a mighty speed.

Casting it's poisonous spell,

a spell that rums over my entire body,

it's poison entering my blood,

this,

this is the effect of you love.

Your Love,

My drug.

Your passion,

my poison.

But as it fades away,

your love is replaced with pain,

pain i am to weak to fight away,

your love gave me strength.

When you levt,

you took away a part of me,

you left me blank and lost,

a new victum to the world,

left vonarable after you took it all away,

leaving me with nothing but the pain,

and for me it feels like i am going to break,

along with the broken heart you made.
