There is nothing I love more than a short piece of work.
I always think, "How much truth can fit into such few words?"
And think this piece is a great point of that. Any type of memory a person holds,
even the smallest, can hold such an impact, never ceasing.

Thankyou! I think that this is one of my favorite things i have written for exactly that reason
Oh Emily, I want to take you, in my arms, and hug you. Your memory has failed you, rather, has given you, time to heal. I know, this sounds strange, but it's true. I know, in later years, you will cherish these memories, as being special times, to hold on to. Please trust me, I have walked down this road, myself, with the death of my opa, on my 14th birthday. In the three + decades, since, I have found myself, looking back, to those special time, I had, with him, as a child. Finding myself, laughing that those moments, which have brought a smile, to me. And yes, I do miss him, very much, every day. Just to see his toothless grin, offering his "candy" to his grandchildren, is a priceless memory, I wouldn't trade for anything, in the world.
