They say the first thing you forget about someone

Is their voice

And it's true

I don't remember your voice 

I remember how it made me feel 

Safe

Happy

But i can't hear you anymore

They say the next thing 

Is that you can't picture their face

And it's true

I don't remember your eyes

i don't remember your smiles

But I remember how they made me feel

Like i was loved

cared for

valued

They say you forget their walk

How they move

and it's true

But i remember how it felt

to walk side by side with you

Hand in hand

Our shoulders brushing

and our footsteps in time

But i can't see it anymore 

But I will never forget

How you made me feel

Their is a truth and deep sadness in your words. Experiencing the disappearance of such things from our memories is harsh and that is why I plan on recording (via video and audio) those around me I love, so that I can always be reminded of their voices, their faces and their movements. Good write!
