Suicide Note

Suicide Note

A Poem by Duckey

Dear... Someone
I don't know if you can hear me
Over the sound of passing cars
And shattering glass
A string-less half cracked bass guitar

I don't know if you can see
That I'm alone
That my eyes are dark and clamped
My room is damp
My door is locked, Key in hand

I don't know if you can smell
The unmistakable tang
Of blood running down my arms
That no ointment or balms
Can stop
From all the times I've self harmed

Dear friend,
I don;t know if you can feel
The pain that rips through me
That choruses up my spine
When I tell you that I'm fine
And the meds you see aren't mine

Dear friend,
This is not a cry for help
This is my suicide note
So when I let out my last sigh
When after everything, I die
You'll get to say goodbye
