Mother Nature Sings a Love Song

Mother, sing to me a love song so refreshing and awakening

Tickle my senses awake from their deep sleep

And cleanse them with your crisp cool breathe

to rejuvenate my soul that seems to have perished in society's game  

Mother, as I sit in your lap of soil and grass my soul listens for your warm embrace

Crossing my legs I hear your song begin to pull me into the earth and center my whole being

I close my eyes and lean in for your kiss

Mother, your song that you sing enlightens my thoughts and eases me to peace

I hear the wind and rain unfold as you compose your own poetry in my ears

Your birds harmonize together with the wind and rain, creating the most beautiful symphony in my brain

Mother, close my eyes and open my ears for I long to know your love song is always near

Beautiful imagery. Love "Mother, as I sit in your lap of soil" actually makes you feel that you are one with Mother Nature as she is being personified. If only we all took a little more time to sit and contemplate the world from this angle!
