My friend used to describe 'red mist' when he got angry and I couldn't relate but I guess Mervyn was always angry so it was a moot point.
I see the red in this an being all-enveloping not a mist more like a thick mire that taints every single aspect - giving the feel of superhuman strength

'nail me to a cloud...' is just wow!

yellow sun and blue moods still equate to red.

Thank-you Tony. I could explain almost everything with the color red. Good and bad. I love it so much. "nail me to a cloud" is my favorite line too. I wanted it to be "just nail me to a cloud" but it didn't work as well.

Yeah I think the word 'just' would have softened it too much.
Its funny how we are drawn to a particular colour. I have a theory for that - sure you know I have a theory for everything !! lol
