Swedish captain, Lias Andersson throws silver medal into the crowd at World Juniors

As you all know by now, Team Canada won the gold medal last at the IIHF World Junior Championships, defeating Team Sweden 3-1.

Unfortunately, the win was marred by a disgusting, unsportsmanlike, classless act. that happened right after Team Sweden received their silver medals.

Swedish captain, Lias Andersson threw his medal into the crowd in disgust.

Apparently, Andersson was frustrated because Sweden has lost a few international tournaments lately, including the World Juniors.

To me, it doesn't matter if you lose two or more tournaments, throwing your medal away is poor sportsmanship.

Andersson not just embarrass his national team, but possibly the New York Rangers, the NHL team that drafted him.

I'm anxious to hear what Don Cherry has to say tonight on Coaches Corner.
